| To stay healthy, keep blood pressure normal |
|
The blood pressure of an adolescent or a young man is quite normal but as we age the blood pressure slowly shows some changes. The normal adult blood pressure is not static and it remains within a range stated by medical guidelines. An adult is always vulnerable to blood pressure complicacy like hypertension since with age the arteries become stiff and resist the flow of blood and this results in higher force of blood from heart giving rise to a condition we call high blood pressure. According to American Heart Association, though the normal adult blood pressure range is considered as 120-139/80-89 mm Hg, yet you must always try to keep it normal with exact or close to 120/80 mm Hg. The systolic pressure more then 120 mm Hg and diastolic pressure more than 80 mm Hg for a long time is considered as the Prehyper-tension stage. If you are just careless about it, you may very soon get into the gulf of hypertension. It is advised that adults maintain a proper and healthy lifestyle to keep their blood pressure normal to avoid cardiovascular impediments and lead a long life. |
