High Blood Pressure: Detect the Silent Killer Early!

Falling in the same league are the set methods to read blood pressure levels. For example, systolic blood pressure reading greater or equal to 140 or a diastolic blood pressure reading greater or equal to 90 indicates high blood pressure.

High blood pressure lives with the system in disguise, call it secretly, and therefore it is labeled as - the silent killer. This blood pressure disease, does not advertise itself. It attacks you suddenly and only when measured, gives you the shock of your life.

Blood pressure diagnosis, before it is actually measured, is not that easy. Its symptoms are many. Dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, chronic fatigue and recurring headache may be the first indicators of your high blood pressure.

Any ailment that results in hypertension could be the cause of high blood pressure. Oral contraceptives are also reported to cause high blood pressure. When blood pressure goes undetected for a long period, it is likely to cause damage to the heart, kidney, liver and most importantly the blood vessels.
