High Blood Pressure
Bedridden Patient High Blood Pressure
Patients who are bedridden and have high
blood pressure can find it difficult to reduce blood pressure. Treatment
of high blood pressure includes exercising which may not be possible for
a bedridden patient high blood pressure sufferer. One fallout of it is
heart failure. Systolic failure occurs when there is a problem in the
left side. The heart cannot adequately fill with blood from the lungs
and pump it into the body. Diastolic failure occurs when there is
problem in the right side of the heart. The heart cannot adequately take
blood from the body and pump it back into the lungs. For more

And Dont's For A Healthy Life with Hypertension.
Heart failure is caused by smoking, lack of exercise, stress,
obesity, excessive salt intake, alcohol abuse, high cholesterol and high
blood pressure can all contribute to deterioration of heart function.
When the left side of the heart fails, blood and fluid builds up in the
lungs. The main symptom is extreme shortness of breath, sometimes
accompanied by wheezing, which causes some patients to mistake the
condition for asthma. The shortness of breath will be more severe when
the patient is tired, and breathing will be more difficult while lying
down or when one is bedridden. Lying down may also cause dry cough.
When
the right side of the heart fails, fluid accumulates in the rest of the
body. The first symptom usually experienced by the patient is fatigue.
Fluid accumulates first in the feet, then the legs, and then the
abdominal area, including the liver. If the patient is bedridden, fluid
will accumulate in the lower back. To prevent it, you have to constantly
take blood pressure measurement of the bedridden patient. As a high
blood pressure sufferer you must note down blood pressure readings with
the help of blood pressure machines. One of these blood pressure
monitors are digital blood pressure cuffs, which can help one monitor
one's 24 hour blood pressure. A blood pressure tester or any kind is a
boon for a blood pressure patient.
