This guide suggests abstaining from dairy product and fat-rich foods. In addition to that, it recommends you 8-10 serving of vegetables and foods.

Avoid using salty food. Most people suffering from hypertension should avoid consuming too much salt as it leads to an increase in blood pressure.

Use more fiber in your meal. Fiber is available in all fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains. It helps in the process of digestion and has a host of other benefits.

Do not eat rich food rich in saturated fats and trans fats.  Reduce the consumption of dairy foods and red meat. If you must have dairy then have, dairy products based on low fat or skimmed milk.
